Top 10 5G Smartphones Expected To Launch In India In 2020

Telecom operators in India are all set to submit their bids for 5G mobile services in India. The new technology is expected to be 100 times faster than 4G, with data speeds as high as 10 gigabits per second. A full HD movie could be download in seconds.
United States, South Korea and China have already switched to 5G. There are currently two 5G phones available in India – Realme X50 Pro (Rs 40k) and Vivo iqoo3 (Rs 37k).
Manufacturers are ready with 5G handsets and are mostly waiting for 5G networks to get functional before launching their devices. Here’s a list of upcoming 5G smartphones in India this year:
OnePlus 8 Pro The king of Android phones is expected to bring its next smartphone, the OnePlus 8 series sometime in Q2 of 2020. The OnePlus 8 will be equipped with 5G tech and will be based on the Qualcomm’s X55 5G modem. Powering it will be Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor, a display of 6.65 inches with 120Hz refresh rate, 48MP + 16MP + 12MP Triple Primary cameras with fancy camera tricks, and faster warp charging. Xiaomi Mi 9 Pro 5G Xiaomi’s Mi 9 Pro will be its latest flagship model and will feature 5G support. It is powered by Snapdragon 855 + SoC, Adreno 640 GPU and 8GB RAM. It will have a bezel-less 6.39-inch super AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass v6, along with a 4,000 mAh battery. The camera will be a 48MP + 12MP + 16MP triple unit with phase detection autofocus, continuous Autofocus, and Laser Autofocus. It is expected to be launched in April, 2020.
Samsung Galaxy S20 5G Samsung is renaming its Galaxy S11 as S20 which will have a 108 MP primary camera with 5X optical zoom and other top of the line specs. The dramatic improvements that Samsung brought into this sensational for a 5X optical zoom. It will have a big 6.9-inch display with a resolution of 1440 x 3200. The battery will be a big 5,000mAh unit with wireless charging support. It is expected to run on Snapdragon 865 processor. A new generation Galaxy Buds Plus might launch along with it. Nokia 10 5G Nokia’s 5G entry will be a phone powered by the Octa-Core Snapdragon 835 processor with a super AMOLED display. The smartphone is expected to feature 16MP + 8MP dual primary cameras with 13MP unit for selfies. It will have a dual-color LED Flash along with Exposure Compensation, ISO Control, Continuous Shooting Modes, High Dynamic Range Mode, Digital Zoom, Autoflash, Face detection, and Touch to focus. The battery will be a 4,000mAh battery unit. Launch date is unknown for now.
Realme X50 5G Realme X50 5G is one of the two phones available in the Indian market. It is priced at Rs 37,000. It is powered by Snapdragon 765G chipset, with an Octa-core Kryo 475 processor. It has 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage with a 6.4-inch display. Wrapping the phone is a smooth glass back. The battery is a 4,200mAh and comes with a 65W ‘SuperDart’ charger that can recharge it from zero to 100 per cent in just 35 minutes.
Redmi K30 Pro The Redmi K30 Pro will be launched as an official partner for the new Fast and Furious 9 movie that is releasing in the US on April 2, 2021. It will have a 5000000:1 contrast ratio Super AMOLED display made by Samsung. Like its younger sibling, the K30 Pro will come with a pop-up selfie camera. The main rear camera will be a 64-inch Sony IMX686 primary sensor with dual optical image stabilisation (OIS) and 3x optical zoom. It will be powered by Snapdragon 865 SoC, along with an LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage like the OnePlus 7 series. The K30 will have the largest vapour chamber (VC) liquid cooling, according to teasers. There will also be Bluetooth v5.1 having a range of 400 metres connectivity. The phone will have a curved back glass panel.
Oppo Reno 5G Oppo’s high-end Reno series will feature its unique 10x Zoom along with its iconic ‘shark-fin’ 16MP pop-up selfe camera. It features a triple camera at the rear – 48MP + 13MP + 8MP. It is powered by Snapdragon 855 chipset with 8GB RAM. The battery is a 4,035mAh unit and comes with 20W VOOC charging tech. It runs on Android 9 with Oppo’s ColorOS on top of it.
Vivo Nex 3 5G Like the Vivo iQoo, Vivo will be launching new 5G smartphones in India. Its next 5G phone named Nex 3 5G will feature a 6.89-inch display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ processor, 8GB of RAM, 256GB storage, 4,500mAh battery with fast charging and a triple rear camera with 64-MP primary unit. Like other Vivo phones, it runs on Android Pie with FunTounchOS 9.1 on top.
Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G When its 5G, you can’t ignore one of the makers of the network. The Huawei Mate 30 Pro along with other 5G smartphones are expected to launch in India. It features a 6.53-inch display and is powered by a 1.86GHz octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 990 processor. It has 8GB RAM, 4,500mAh battery with wireless charging. It has a 40-MP primary camera with an f/1.6 aperture, a second 40-megapixel camera with an f/1.6 aperture and a third 8-megapixel camera with an f/2.4 aperture. On the front is a 32MP unit. It runs EMUI 10 based on Android 10. The phone supports face unlock with 3D face recognition.
Samsung A90 5G Samsung mid-range A-series will also see 5G versions coming. The A90 features a triple-lens rear camera with 48-MP primary, 6.7-inch screen and 4,500mAh battery. It doesn’t have IP68 waterproofing and wireless charging. Like the S20, Samsung generally bundles offers such as Galaxy Buds at a nominal extra.
