Cuttack: TP Central Odisha Distribution Ltd (TPCODL) has taken measures to strengthen its network ahead of the peak summer season when demand will rise. It has successfully commissioned two major infrastructure projects in the region.
“A new Primary Substation has been established at Manguli, which is set to benefit over 10,000 consumers across Manguli, Choudwar and Tangi areas. This new facility will enhance the quality and reliability of power supply, supporting the region’s residential and industrial growth,” an official said.
In another major development, a 20/25 MVA Power Transformer has been successfully charged at the Kalinga Primary Substation. This upgrade will bolster electricity distribution to key areas including the Barabati Stadium area, Chandi Mandir, Tulasipur, Chandni Chowk, Buxi Bazaar and Sati Chourah.
These initiatives form a part of TPCODL’s summer preparedness plan, aimed at meeting the rising electricity demand during the peak summer months, with enhanced infrastructure and improved service reliability.
“With these strategic upgrades, TPCODL continues its commitment to power progress across Central Odisha by ensuring consistent, efficient, and resilient power supply to its consumers,” the official added.
