TPR Drops Below 12% In Odisha As 7729 More Test COVID Positive; Over 1K Cases From Khurda
Bhubaneswar: After reporting over 8000 fresh COVID-19 infections for three consecutive days, Odisha saw a marginal fall in the caseload with 7,729 people testing positive for the virus in the past 24 hours.
The test positivity rate (TPR) also dropped to 11.26 per cent from 12.59 per cent the previous day with these cases being detected from 68,604 samples sent for tests.
According to the I & PR department Department, 4331 are from quarantine and 3398 local contact cases.
The highest of 1,062 new cases have been reported from Khurda, followed by Cuttack (720) and Angul (449).
