Bhubaneswar: In order to ensure smooth and hustle-fee traffic management during the Bali Jatra at Cuttack, the Commissionerate Police has issued a traffic advisory with parking slots for the vehicles.
According to the traffic advisory, the following traffic restrictions will come into force from 2 pm every day during the Bali Jatra:
- No three/four-wheeler vehicles are allowed to move from Bellview Chhak (Judicial Academy) through Satichaura, Shelter Chhak and Kanika Chhak to Bali Jatra ground. They will take the road through CDA-11 from Bellview Chhak and part either at Biju Pattanaik car parking or at Bhuasuni field parking. They may avail shuttle bus service upto Cantonment PS.
- Two-wheeler vehicles moving from Satichaura Chhak through Shelter Chhak and Kanika Chhak will park in front of Daya Ashram or Karikeswar Gada parking.
- No three/four-wheeler vehicles are allowed to move from Chahata Chhak to Deer Park. They have to park at Bhuasuni filed and may avail shuttle bus service up to Cantonment PS.
- Three/four-wheeler vehicles coming through Madhusudhan setu will park either at Biju Pattanaik parking or at Bhuasuni field parking.
- Vehicles coming from Bhubaneswar through Trishulia Chhak will take left run at Bellview (Judicial Academy) Chhak and proceed through New Satichaura and CDA-11. They will park either at Biju Pattnaik Park Parking or at Bhuasuni field parking.
- Only two-wheelers are allowed from Chahata Chhak through Deer Park to reach at Kartikeswar Gada parking.
- No three/four-wheeler is allowed from Deer Park Chhak towards Bali Jatra Ground. They have to park at Christian field parking.
- No vehicles are allowed from Madhukunja Park towards Bali Jatra.
- No three/four-wheeler vehicles are allowed from Biju Pattanaik Chhak to Bal Jyatra through Daya Ashram road. They will park at Christian field parking.
- Only two-wheelers are allowed from Biju Pattanaik Chhak upto Daya Ashram Field parking.
- Three/four-wheeler vehicles are allowed from Kanika Chhak towards Chandi Mandir. They will avail the route through Biju Pattanaik Chhak and park at Christian field parking.
- No three/four-wheeler vehicles are allowed from Chandi Chhak towards Upper Bali Jatra ground through Cambridge School. They will take the route through Kanika Chhak, Biju Pattanaik Chhak and park at Christian field parking. Only two-wheelers are allowed from Chandi Chhak to Cambridge school and they will park at Daya Ashram field parking.
- No three/four-wheeler is allowed from Samaj Office Chhak through Nari Seva Sadan. They have to avail the route through Mission Road, Chandi Chhak, Kanika Chhak and Biju Pattanik Chhak to park at Christian field parking.
- No vehicles are allowed from PHD office or Daya Ashram Chhak to Bali Jatra Ground.
- No three/four-wheeler vehicles are allowed from Buxibazar Fire Station Chhak through Reserve Police Line. Only two-wheeler may proceed through OPA Chhak, Nari Seva Sadan to Park at Daya Ashram field parking.
- No vehicles are allowed from Niri Seve Sadan and OPA CHhak towards Madhusudhan Statue.
- Vehicles coming from Jobra and Mata Matha will park at opposite side of Chief Justice residence designated as A, B & C. No vehicles are allowed in Ring Road from Chief Justice Residence Chhak towards Gadagadia temple/Boat Gate.
- Vehicles coming from Howra Motor Chhak and Mastan Dargha will not be allowed towards Madhu Sudhan Statue. They will avail Ring Road to reach the designated parking at opposite side of Chief Justice Residence.
- No vehicles are allowed from Lions Eye Hospital Chhak and Madhusudhan Chhak towards Bali Jatra ground.
- During exit from designated parking places of opposite of Chief Justice Residence, they will avail Silver City Boat Club road and proceed only towards Mata Matha.
- Similarly, during exit from designated parking places of Kartikeswar Gada, they will go only towards Cantonment PS.
The Commissionerate Police has launched a mobile application ‘AMA BALIYATRA’ to provide real time traffic situation in Cuttack and navigate designated parking places. The violators of the traffic advisory will have to pay a minimum fine of Rs 500,it has warned.
The Bali Jatra will take off on November 27 and continue till December 4.
