Cuttack: Secretary (5T) to chief minister VK Pandian on Saturday visited SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack to enquire the treatment of the passengers injured in the triple train accident in Balasore district.
Pandian met the injured passengers and enquired about their condition. He assured them of all support from the state government in the treatment.
He also interacted with the doctors and staff and thanked them for their sincere efforts and hard work in extending excellent service to the injured. “Due to your support, such a large health operation could be conducted successfully and many lives saved,” he added.
He also thanked the doctors and students for their noble gesture in donating blood to the victims of train accident.
As per reports, total 1175 injured parsons were admitted in various government and private hospitals. Of them, 793 have been discharged after treatment and currently 382 passengers are undergoing treatment in various hospitals.
