Bhubaneswar: In order to introduce information technology (IT) and coding in high school curriculum from this academic session, the Odisha government has started training of master trainers in Bhubaneswar.
According to a release of the School & Mass Education department on Friday, the aspirational curriculum will be introduced through 4 school clubs under “Mo School” programme of the government. The four school clubs are Kridangan, Kousali, Sahitya Srujani and Jigyansa.
As many as 89 Science teachers from block level are undergoing training to work as master trainers for the teachers in their respective schools. IT experts have been engaged to impart the training at the state level.
The training for Kridangan Club was completed last week and now training for Kousali Club is going on. The 3-day training of master trainers of Kousali Club was started from Thursday in Government Boys’ High School at Unit VII, Government Girls’ High School at Unit VIII and Syed Mamtaj Ali High School in Nayapalli of Bhubaneswar.
‘Mo School’ is conducting the training programme in partnership with various institutions at the national level. The department is introducing the new curriculum to help the students meet the technology driven system.
