Triple Train Mishap In Odisha: 2 Special Trains To Carry Families Of Victims From Chennai & Howrah

Bhubaneswar: The Indian Railways is running two special trains from Chennai and Howrah to carry the family members of the victims of the triple train accident in Odisha’s Balasore district on Friday night.

While the Southern Railway (SR) will run the train from Chennai to Bhadrak, the South Eastern Railway (SER) will run the train from Howrah to Balasore.

The SR will ply the special train (02840) on the same route and timing of 12840 Dr MGR Chennai Central-Howrah Mail from Chennai. It will leave the Cennai Central station at 7.20 pm upto Bhadrak on Saturday.

The SR has informed in a tweet that the family members and relatives of the affected passengers can collect their complimentary passes for the travel from the help desk at Chennai Central.

Similarly, the SER is running MEMU Special train from Howrah to Balasore at 4 pm for the relatives of accident victims. It will have stoppages at Santragachi, Uluberia, Bagnan, Mecheda, Panskura,  Balichak, Kharagpur, Hijli,  Belda and Jaleswar.
