Bhubaneswar: A Hyva truck dashed against a car from the rear at the busy Power House Square in Bhubaneswar and dragged it for over 20 metres.
As per sources, the mishap took place when the car with the driver inside was waiting at the traffic post for the signal to turn green when the mishap took place.
The truck approaching from behind rammed into the static car and continued to drag it across the junction for around 20 metres before stopping.
While the car was severely damaged and left mangled after the collision, the driver and owner of the car escaped without physical injuries despite the severity of the accident.
The mishap caused chaos at the busy junction for some time, with traffic movement disrupted and local residents gathering at the spot soon after the incident.
A police team rushed to the site and initiated a probe. The driver of the Hyva truck reportedly told police that exhaustion and fatigue may have led to the mishap.
