Turkmenistan has banned the media from using the word ‘coronavirus’.
According to media reports, the word — which has become synonymous with fear and death across the world — has been removed from health information brochures which are distributed in schools, hospitals and offices.
The Asian nation, with a population of about 58 lakh, has not yet reported a single case of the novel coronavirus that has killed over 44,000 people all over the world so far.
