Two Bikers Killed In Mishap In Odisha’s Koraput; Narrow Escape For 23 Bus Passengers In Rayagada

Koraput/Rayagada: Two persons were killed while another was grievously injured after a Hyva truck collided with their bike near Kakiriguma village in Koraput district on Sunday night.

The victims were rushed to the Saheed Laxman Nayak Medical College and Hospital, where two of them were declared brought dead. They were coming from Deomali on a bike when the accident occurred on NH-326.

The Hyva truck, which was loaded with bauxite and was on its way to Kakirigumma railway station yard from Kodingamali mines, collided with the bike head-on, according to media reports.

In another accident in Rayagada, 23 passengers had a close shave after the bus in which they were travelling overturned near Raising ghat in Gajapati district on Sunday night. The bus was on its way to Berhampur from Rayagada. All the passengers escaped unhurt.
