Balangir: In a shocking incident, two minor girls reportedly committed suicide at Dunguripada village under Town police limits in Balangir district on Sunday.
According to reports, body of a Class XI student of Navajeevan Bidyapeetha School was found hanging from the ceiling of a house in the morning. Another girl, who studied in her class, was found dead under similar circumstances that afternoon.
On being informed, police recovered the bodies and sent them for postmortem. “A case of unnatural death has been registered. The reason as to why they took the extreme step can be ascertained only after investigation,” said IIC of Balangir Town Police Station Gokula Nanda Sahu.
