Two Held For Trying To Sell Leopard Hide In Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The STF of Odisha Crime Branch arrested a man and his nephew while allegedly hatching a deal to sell a leopard skin at Khajuripada village under Khajuripada police station limits in Kandhamal district.

They have been identified as Sujit Rajaswadip and Dhananjay Behera of Arapaju village.

While a case (8/2023) has been registered under Section of 379, 411, 120(B) of IPC and Section 51 of the Wild Life (Protection) Act, 1972, the skin will be sent to Director WII, Dehradun, for biological examination, officials said.
