Tangi: Two persons sustained critical burns in a firecracker explosion at Bhagabatipatna under Balugaon police limits in Khurda district on Friday.
The victims, identified as Sadhucharan Sahu and Jayanti Baliarsingh, were rushed to Balugaon hospital in a critical condition.

According to local residents, the two were working in a firecracker manufacturing unit, which suddenly exploded in the absence of safety measures.
Police reached the spot and started investigation into the matter.
