Two Odisha Dist Report ‘Zero’ New COVID Cases; TPR Rises To 1.83%
Bhubaneswar: Jharsuguda and Sonepur reported ‘nil’ new COVID infection as the daily caseload surged past the 1000-mark on Tuesday after a day’s drop with 1041 more people testing positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.
Khurda (383) and Cuttack (132) added cases in triple digits while 13 districts reported new cases in double digits and the remaining 13 in single.
With these cases being detected from 56859 swab samples, the test positivity rate (TPR) for the day stood at 1.83 per cent against 1.34 per cent the previous day.
On Monday, the new infections had dropped below 1000 almost after a gap of four months as 886 of 66063 samples sent for the test were found infected.
Among the fresh infections, 605 are from quarantine and 436 local transmission cases.

This includes a State Pool of 81 cases.
With this, Odisha now has 10988 active cases.
