‘Two Pakistanis Will Blow Up Taj Hotel’: Mumbai Police Receives Threat Call
New Delhi: Mumbai Police on Thursday received a threat call claiming two Pakistani citizens would reach the city to blow up the Taj Hotel.
An anonymous call was received at the main control room of the Mumbai Police, informing them that two men from Pakistan would enter Indian territory through the sea route and blow up the city’s landmark hotel, according to media reports.
The caller introduced himself as Mukesh Singh. However, an investigation revealed that his real name was Jagdamba Prasad Singh, a 35-year-old man from Uttar Pradesh’s Gonda, currently residing in Santacruz.
The city police have initiated an investigation.
Notably, the Taj Hotel in the Colaba area of Mumbai was a target of the 2008 terrorist attacks in the city. The hotel had received similar threat calls in the past.
