Bhubaneswar: Two teachers from Odisha state will receive this year’s prestigious National Teachers’ Awards 2025, the Ministry of Education announced on Monday.
The teachers are Basanta Kumar Rana and Tarun Kumar Dash.
Rana is a teacher of Government Upper Primary School, Kondel, under Korkunda block in Malkangiri district. He is widely recognised for his innovative teaching methods.
Dash serves at PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya, Koraput.
The awardees will get a cash award of Rs 50,000, a silver medal and a certificate of merit at the award ceremony to be held at New Delhi on the occasion of Teachers’ Day on September 5 to commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the eminent philosopher, academic, and former President of India.
