Jammu: Days after four Army soldiers were killed in exchange of fire at Doda, the security forces killed two terrorists and foiled an infiltration attempt at the Line of Control (LOC) in Keran sector of Kupwara district in Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday.
“In a significant operation, the Indian Army successfully eliminated two terrorists attempting to infiltrate across the Line of Control in the Keran Sector of Kashmir,” ANI reported, quoting an official statement from the Army.
The infiltration bid by ‘a group of foreign terrorists’ was foiled with the help of inputs from Jammu and Kashmir Police and intelligence agencies. Around 12.30 am on July 18, the movement of the two terrorists was noticed through the thick foliage. The security forces opened fire, resulting in an intense gun battle.

This was the third such instance where infiltration attempt was foiled in the last few weeks in The Kashmir valley.
