Bhubaneswar: The Odisha state higher education department has formulated a guideline for all state public universities to have uniform research policy and procedure.
A uniform guideline for research policy has been laid down by the Odisha State Higher Education Council (OSHEC) which must be followed by all universities after wide consultation with the varsity vice-chancellors.
The Odisha government has communicated the uniform policy and procedure to all the universities coming under the state’s Higher Education Department.
It may be recalled that the government had asked the OSHEC to formulate a uniform Research policy for all state varsities following a high-level Conclave of Vice-Chancellors on July 23, 2021.
The uniform policy will help the state’s research scholars to avail services like entrance exams, admission and awarding of degrees into programmes like PhD, D.Litt in a consistent and time-bound manner.
