Bhubaneswar: Days after the Archaeological Survey of India stumbled upon the remnants of Suka Sari temple near the Lingaraj Temple in Odisha Capital, Union Culture Minister Prahlad Singh Patel said digging of the area with JCB machines was inappropriate both for heritage and the state.
Patel said a high-level team of ASI is reviewing the matter and decision will be taken only after their looking into their report
A few days back Union Minister for Petroleum, Natural Gas and Steel Dharmendra Pradhan had sought the intervention of his colleague and Union Culture Minister for a detailed study and thorough scientific excavation of the heritage area.
