Bhubaneswar/Phulbani: Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanth on Saturday had to address the Vijay Sankalp Samavesh in Berhampur in Ganjam district and Phulbani in Kandhamal district through his mobile phone from the Biju Patnaik International Airport as the airport authority did not allow his flight to land at these two destinations.
According to information by the airport authorities, the flight of the UP Chief Minister, which arrived late at the airport, was not allowed to fly to Berhampur and Kandhamal as it had no night vision facility.
Talking to the media in Phulbani, BJP’s MP candidate for Kandhamal, Kharavela Swain, said the UP Chief Minister was scheduled to address the Vijay Sankalp Samavesh at the district headquarters. But as his fight arrived late at the Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar, the airport authority did not allow the flight to proceed to Berhampur and Kandhamal due to technical problems. As a result, Adityanath addressed the people of Berhampur and Kandhamal through his mobile phone from the airport.
“The UP Chief Minister, in his address, requested the people to unseat the BJD government in Odisha and re-elect the Narendra Modi-led NDA government at the Centre,” Swain added.
