UP Court Summons Rahul Gandhi Again; Know Why

Lucknow: The MP-MLA Court in UP’s Sultanpur has summoned Rahul Gandhi on January 6 for making certain remarks against Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

The court had asked Rahul to appear on Saturday, but the Congress leader ignored the summons, reported PTI.

The five-year-old case pertains to a lawsuit filed on August 4, 2018, by BJP leader Vijay Mishra, accusing Rahul of making objectionable comments against Shah.

Mishra’s advocate Santosh Pandey said that Judge Yogesh had reserved his verdict after hearing arguments last month and summoned Rahul to appear before the court on December 16.
