A 20-year-old youth has been arrested for allegedly kidnapping his ex-girlfriend after she refused to go on a surprise Valentine’s Day date with him in Phoenix in Arizona, USA.
Police said the accused, Isaiah Cuspard, was earlier arrested on February 10 for assaulting his ex-girlfriend, who is also the mother of his two children. Isaiah, however, was later released.
The next day, he went to visit her house to convince her to go with him on a date on Valentine’s Day. He said he had planned it as a surprise for her.
After she refused, Isaiah hit her and forcefully took her in his car, driving away at a speed of at least 100 mph, the victim’s mother said, according to a report in India Today.
As the scene unfolded, the neighbours called police. By the time the cops came, the accused had crashed his car.
He was again arrested for kidnapping and the victim was rescued.
