Varun Dhawan Breaks Down After His Driver’s Death, Who Was From Odisha; Check Details

Bhubaneswar: Bollywood superstar Varun Dhawan broke down on hearing the news of the death of his personal driver Manoj Sahu (47).

Manoj, who died of a heart attack on Tuesday, was from Kalatangara village under Hindol block in Odisha’s Dhenkanal district. He had been working as driver for the Dhawan family for a long time.

He is survived by his mother, wife, a son and daughter. His daughter is in Plus-II and his son in Class IX.

His wife, children and nephew flew to Mumbai on Wednesday and performed his last rites.

According to reports, Manoj died on the sets of a brand shoot at Mehboob studio in Mumbai’s Bandra on Tuesday.

He had taken Varun to the studio. He complained of chest pain there, following which he was taken to Lilavati hospital immediately. But doctors declared him dead on arrival.

Manoj was like a family member of the Dhawan family. Varun would often take him along on overseas tours and called him ‘Manoj dada’.

In a programme in 2018, Varun introduced Manoj to the audience and praised him.

Varun posted a hilarious throwback on his Instagram account while grieving his death.
