Vet’s Rape-Murder: Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Police Issue ‘Don’t Talk To Strangers’ Advisory
Bhubaneswar: In light of the gangrape and murder of a 27-year-old woman veterinary doctor in Telangana, Twin City Commissionerate Police has issued an advisory for women asking them not to trust or talk to strangers.
The tweet said:
* Don’t trust strangers and enter into conversations.
* Dial 100
* Stick to places with people, e.g. shopping area, petrol pump till PCR van arrives.

The charred body of the woman was found near Hyderabad on Thursday morning. According to police, the four accused, who have been arrested, had raped and murdered the doctor in the span of an hour on Wednesday night. They then set fire to her body under a culvert at Chattanpally around 2:30 am. Three policemen have also been suspended for alleged negligence in filing the First Information Report (FIR) in the case.
