Vigilance Scanner On ‘Corrupt’ Municipal Official In Odisha’s Sambalpur
Brajrajnagar: Vigilance sleuths on Wednesday raided the office and residence of the Executive Officer of Brajarajnagar Municipality, Dilip Kumar Patel, and other properties in Sambalpur district in connection with a disproportionate assets case.
Armed with search warrants issued by the Special Judge of Vigilance, Sambalpur, the anti-corruption sleuths conducted raids at six places simultaneously. These included Patel’s government quarters in Jharsuguda, his official chamber on the Jharsuguda Municipal Corporation premises, a double-storied building at his native village of Belmunda, a double-storied building at Debadihi in Jharsuguda town, a petrol pump belonging to his relative at Samasingha in Kolabira and a house of his relative at Kolabahal in Jharsuguda.

The exact amount of disproportionate assets possessed by the accused officer will be ascertained only after the completion of search drives, sources in the Vigilance department said.
