Bhubaneswar: Vice President Venkaiah Naidu is likely to visit Odisha to attend the convocation ceremony of Utkal University, Bhubaneswar, on April 2.
According to varsity sources, he will join as chief guest at the convocation during the one-day visit and his office has given the go-ahead to his schedule.
Vice-Chancellor Sabita Acharya recently presided over a meeting to discuss the formalities for the VP’s visit.
Governor Ganeshi Lal is also expected at the convocation.
Earlier, the varsity had sent an invitation to President Ram Nath Kovind to attend the ceremony as the chief guest.

A total of 180 students of the students will be awarded PhD and DLit on the occasion. Toppers of all department will also be presented with gold medals.
