Bhawanipatna: A video of a doctor allegedly thrashing a patient at Dharamgarh Sub-Divisional Hospital in Odisha’s Kalahandi district has gone viral.
The incident took place on Sunday evening. Reports identified the doctor as Shailesh Kumar Dora.
In the video, the doctor, wearing blue T-shirt and shorts, is seen repeatedly hitting the patient. The doctor also chases the patient and tries to hit him with a stick.

According to reports, the patient came to the hospital with severe stomach ache. As the doctor concerned was not available, he kept waiting.
The patient then went to the doctor seen in the video. There was an altercation. The doctor lost his cool and started thrashing the patient, reports said.
Both sides lodged separate FIRs at the local police station.
The victim’s family and local residents blocked the nearby NH-130 in protest demanding action against the doctor.
