[Watch] King Cobra Rescued From Pottery In Odisha’s Ganjam
Berhampur: Snake Helpline members have rescued a 12-foot-long King Cobra from a pottery at Gurujhari in Ganjam district’s Beguniapada block.
According to reports, Baya Muduli had gone to his pottery on Friday night when he heard the hissing of a snake. He immediately alerted Snake Helpline.
Two Snake Helpline members, Swapnalok Mishra and Mihir Panda, rushed to the pottery and saw the King Cobra hiding behind a stack of pots. They carefully pulled out the snake and put it inside a sack.
The King Cobra was later released in a nearby forest in the presence of Forest Department staff.
Founder of Snake Helpline Subhendu Mallick said the people should be extra careful of the King Cobra because no anti-venom for the snake’s poison has been developed in the country so far.
