Bhubaneswar: Kyiv has “survived another night under attacks by Russian ground forces, missiles”, Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba tweeted on Saturday.
He also confirmed that a missile had hit a residential apartment in the capital city and shared an image of the partly-destroyed building. A CCTV camera from inside one of the apartments has captured the exact moment the missile struck the building.
It was for the first time that a missile struck a residential building in Kyiv since Russian troops launched an attack on Ukraine on Thursday with explosions before dawn in the capital and other cities.
According to Reuters, two missiles hit areas southwest of Kyiv – an area close to the Zhulyany airport and near the Sevastopol square.
“Unfortunately, according to operative data, at the hands of the invaders we have , including 3 children, 1,115 wounded, including 33 children,” Health Minister Viktor Lyashko wrote on Facebook.
Meanwhile, Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyyspoke tweeted about his interaction with France President Emmanuel Macron and wrote: “Weapons and equipment from our partners are on the way to Ukraine. The anti-war coalition is working.”
