New Delhi: In a shameful incident for their community, lawyers engaged in a scuffle at the Delhi High Court canteen on Tuesday.
According to those present, there was a heated argument among some lawyers over seats in the canteen.
Senior advocates tried to intervene in order to calm down the agitated lawyers, but it got worse and there was a physical altercation as well. Lunchtime went for a toss as food was scattered across tables and even on clothes of some lawyers.

A woman lawyer allegedly slapped a female senior advocate, Bar and Bench quoted eyewitnesses as saying.
“A group of lawyers were sitting in the canteen and having lunch when the lawyer came to the canteen and started creating a ruckus. Some senior lawyers were also on the table. They tried to stop her, but she did not heed their request and started throwing food around,” one eyewitness said.
“Seeing this ruckus, a lady senior advocate came and started to calm her down. However, she slapped the senior lawyer,” he added.
