Cuttack: A video has gone viral over the internet showing a man began barking like a dog, months after being bitten by a dog in Athagarh in Odisha’s Cuttack.
The man, identified as Rajesh Beura of Udeipur village, was bitten by a dog around six months ago. However, he started making sounds like a dog a few days back, according to sources.
In the video clip, Rajesh is seen howling and making unnatural sounds and movements while his family members struggle to keep him under control in the hospital.
With time his symptoms got severe, and he was rushed to a nearby hospital from where he was shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack as his health condition did not improve.
Medical experts claim that it could be a case of rabies.
According to doctors, in case of humans getting infected after a dog bite, one of the symptoms includes Laryngospasm which makes the patient scream due to contractions in the throat.
