New Delhi: Imagine receiving a bar of soap instead of an iPhone 15 that you had ordered! Well, it happened to Vidur Sirohi. He shared a video on his Instagram account. It shows the complete unboxing of the parcel at the time of delivery.
As he opens the parcel, he finds that the box contains a bar of soap instead of the cutting-edge device that had been ordered. The victim, who was eagerly waiting for the phone, was met with disbelief and disappointment.

Captioning the clip, Vidur Sirohi explained the complete back story of his order. Explaining what happened, he wrote, “I ordered an iPhone 15 from FLIPKART India app on 16th November 2023. The expected delivery date was the very next day that is 17th November 2023 but the delivery did not take place as per the given time. Then the iPhone 15 was supposed to be delivered the next day but I was travelling out of the station, so I scheduled the delivery date for 22nd November 2023.”
“Since I was travelling out of the station & in the evening on my way back, I requested the delivery guy to please come in the evening. The delivery guy denied coming in the evening. Then again I rescheduled for the next day and till 25th November 2023, FLIPKART did not deliver the phone, irrespective of regular complaints on FLIPKART support. And finally, the day came which was 26th November 2023 when I got the delivery done from FLIPKART India,” he added.
Vidur Sirohi further wrote, “And Guess WHAT? Such major FRAUD- Instead of iPHONE 15, I received a pear SOAP. Now, I’m not getting any help from FLIPKART INDIA. Their customer support has simply no resolution and I have wasted a lot of time & energy in seeking help on the issue. That means online purchase from FLIPKART India is a huge disappointment and a great failure.”
As soon as the video surfaced on the internet, social media users flooded the comment section with numerous reactions. Many Internet users expressed their anger against online scams while others shared similar stories and experiences. Reacting to the post, a user wrote, “I have had a similar episode with a toy car, their customer services talk to us very kindly and pretend to help us a lot but at the end of the day the problem is not solved. I had to keep a broken toy car (Rs1600).”
Another commented, “Thank God you made a video for this otherwise they would’ve made sure you would’ve put the soap there. Flipkart has zero support for their customers.”
A spokesperson for the company stated, “I’m a Flipkart seller, and just wanted to inform everyone that Flipkart is committing fraud with the seller and their customers. Just for your information, if the customer makes a return or does not accept delivery. Flipkart will charge a penalty & full commission from the seller. In case a customer returns a used product or a different product, Flipkart won’t be responsible for your losses, they’ll still charge their commission + penalty/return charges from the seller. And if Flipkart loses product shipped via you, it’s again a seller loss.”
The video was shared two weeks ago on Instagram. Since its posting, it has garnered an impressive one million plus views and over forty-eight thousand likes.
