“20 tonnes medical oxygen on way to Visakhapatnam from Angul. Odisha Police escorting for prompt and unhindered transportation so as to reach thousands of needy patients without any delay,” Odisha Police had tweeted on Thursday.

According to sources, oxygen from Rourkela Steel Plant, Tata Steel, and JSPL will be sent to Delhi, which is grappling with shortage amid the COVID-19 upsurge.

Maharashtra and Delhi Chief Ministers have thanked their Odisha counterpart Naveen Patnaik for facilitating the early supply of their quota of oxygen from the state.
