New Delhi: Shah Rukh Khan celebrated his 59th birthday on November 2. He received a flood of well-wishes from stars across the film industry. He also attended a special SRK Day event to interact with his fans and answer their queries about his life. During a segment, Shah Rukh Khan spoke about the good things he is following and revealed that he has quit smoking.

Shah Rukh Khan said, “Another good thing, I’m not smoking any more guys.” He added that he thought he would feel breathless at the event but he felt fine and was “catching up”. This announcement made his fans scream with excitement.

This clip went viral and fans took to the comments section to express their hot takes. One person wrote, “Better announcement than a movie. Hope he can stick to it.” Another wrote, “Thank god. SRK attended a fan event hosted by his fan clubs in Mumbai’s Bandra. Later in the evening, he took to social media, sharing a photo of himself doing his iconic arms-outstretched pose against a sea of fans at the special event. Dressed in a violet T-shirt, a beanie and sunglasses, SRK thanked everyone for coming over and making his evening special. He wrote, “Thank you for coming over and making my evening special… my love to everyone who made it for my birthday. And for those who couldn’t, sending you all my love.”

SRK’s wife Gauri Khan shared a sneak peek into SRK’s birthday celebration with her, Suhana Khan and their close friends. On Saturday evening, Gauri Khan took to her Instagram account to share a picture from Shah Rukh Khan’s birthday celebration. The picture showed Shah Rukh Khan cutting the birthday cake, while Gauri Khan and Suhana Khan stood on either side of him. Sharing the picture, Gauri wrote that it was a memorable evening, with their loved ones in attendance.
