Mumbai: Three people, including the driver, were killed and another critically injured after an overspeeding BMW crashed on Coastal Road near Mumbai’s Lotus Jetty early morning on Sunday.
According to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), the car was travelling from Marine Drive towards Haji Ali when the crash took place.
Police are probing the deadly crash to ascertain the exact circumstances leading to the accident.
CCTV footage reveals the spine-chilling moment just after 5 am as a car is seen flying off the bridge and flipping in the air before crashing into a construction site below. It looked straight out of a scene from a Bollywood action movie.

Those involved in the accident were taken to the hospital, where three of them were declared dead.
According to the Chief Medical Officer at Nair Hospital, two of the deceased have been identified as 21-year-old Shanay Gajjal and 17-year-old Dhirya Seth. An unidentified man, around 25, was also declared brought dead at the hospital.
A fourth person was critically injured in the crash, and is currently undergoing treatment in the trauma ward at Nair Hospital, officials said.
All four are from Ahmedabad, and had gone to Marine Drive. The fatal crash happened when they were returning.
The mangled BMW debris on the road gave a clear picture of the severe crash.
