[Watch] Superstar Cristiano Ronaldo Violates Rule, Told To Put On Mask

Professional sport is back on track, but most of them are being conducted behind closed doors in the backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic which is still raging in a number of countries.

Following COVID-19 guidelines like wearing face masks and maintaining social distancing are absolutely mandatory for all sportspersons, officials and organizers who are at the forefront of the action.

In a brazen violation, football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo was seen seated in the stands without a mask, during the European Nations League match between Portugal and Croatia on Sunday night.

Cristiano, who did not play the match following a bee sting, had to be reminded about the protocol by a member of staff in the stadium, keeping everyone’s safety in mind. Realizing his folly, the Juventus star obliged by putting on a mask without delay.

Despite Ronaldo’s absence, European champions Portugal put up an emphatic performance to thrash World Cup runners-up Croatia 4-1.
