Kulgam: A bank manager was shot dead by suspected militants in south Kashmir’s Kulgam on Thursday.
Ellaqui Dehati Bank’s Vijay Kumar, who hails from Rajasthan’s Hanumangarh district, was critically wounded in the attack at Areh Mohanpora village in Kulgam. He was rushed to a hospital where he was declared dead, according to Jammu and Kashmir Police.
CCTV footage revealed chilling details of the incident. The terrorist is first seen peeping through the door. Seconds later, he returns to shoot at the manager who was at his desk.

The cold-blooded killing took place 13 km from Shopian, where a bomb blast injured three soldiers this morning.
The bank manager’s killing comes two days after a female teacher from Jammu was shot dead outside her school in Gopalpora village of Kulgam.
There has been a sudden surge in attacks in the region, despite heightened security for protection of employees from outside Kashmir and belonging to minority community.
