New Delhi: Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, the timeless classic directed by Aditya Chopra has been running at Mumbai’s Maratha Mandir for over 27 years, making it the longest-running film in Indian cinema history, giving it a cult status.

Recently, The Academy’s official Instagram page featured the Bollywood gem. The post showcased a clip of the nostalgic song Mehndi Laga Ke Rakhna with Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, sending fans into a frenzy. People showered the post with love, praising SRK as the greatest artist and declaring The Academy members as devoted SRK fans.

The movie not only showed the incredible chemistry of SRK and Kajol but also featured outstanding performances by talented actors including Mandira Bedi, Amrish Puri, Farida Jalal, Satish Shah, Himani Shivpuri, Parmeet Sethi and Anupam Kher. Each cast member contributed to the film’s success.
