Popular messaging app WhatsApp has notified that starting Monday, data and chats not backed up on Google Drive will be lost forever. WhatsApp had earlier notified regarding the same. It had also said that backing up on Google Drive will be free and will not use any quota of the storage provided.
This process will let users easily restore their data on a new device by logging on to their Google accounts.
