A couple in Kuwait divorced just three minutes after being declared husband and wife, according to a report in Independent’s Indy.
The reason was that the groom insulted the bride as they were leaving the wedding ceremony at a court.
The incident, which took place in 2019, came to the forefront after an old video went viral.
Once formal proceedings of the marriage ended, the newly-married pair were moving out of the courthouse when the bride tripped.
According to a report in the Metro, the groom called her stupid for falling over.
This infuriated the woman, who asked the judge to call the marriage off immediately.
The judge agreed and issued an annulment just three minutes after marrying them.
Local media reports said it’s the shortest marriage in Kuwait’s history.
As per recorded official data, a couple in the United Kingdom filed for divorce 90 minutes after exchanging vows at Stockport Register Office in Greater Manchester in 2004.
In that case, the bride Victoria Anderson was furious after her husband Scott McKie raised a toast to her bridemaids and hit him with an ashtray.
