Mumbai: Bollywood celebrities have often had funny, at times bizarre experiences, mostly involving hero-worshipping, demanding fans.
Varun Dhawan recently shared one such hilarious yet scary anecdote.
A woman broke into his house, having been misled into believing that the actor would elope with her.
Varun, who described her as the ‘wife of a very powerful man’, claimed that she even stalked him, forcing him to inform police.
Varun recounted during a conversation with Ranveer Allahabadia aka Beerbicep on his podcast how the woman entered his residence without permission.
“And that lady was the wife of a very powerful man. I can’t say what position… but a very powerful man, and she was being catfished. Someone was talking to her using my name. She knew everything about my house, and she thought I was going to leave my family. It became very scary,” he said.
After the police was contacted, “female constables came in and handled it”.
The ‘Jugjugg Jeeyo’ actor also mentioned instances when fans acted inappropriately with him in public. For instance, a female fan forcibly kissed him. People have also pinched him in public places!
“I feel bad for women, because I straightaway put myself in their position. If this is happening to me, it must be worse with them,” Varun said.
Varun is awaiting the Christmas Day release of ‘Baby John’, which also stars Keerthy Suresh and Wamiqa Gabbi.
