Mumbai: Amid the debate and controversy over Deepika Padukone’s 8-hour shift demand, an old video of Abhishek Bachchan, revealing Akshay Kumar’s fixed working hours, has resurfaced and gone viral.
To promote a sequel of ‘Housefull’, Akshay, Abhishek and Riteish Deshmukh had appeared as guests on Kapil Sharma’s show.
During a hearty conversation on the show, Abhishek revealed that Akshay has fixed working hours and packs his bag as soon as his 8-hour shift is over.
“Pack up hote hi, most excited person, Akshay Kumar. Aath (eight) ghante se zyada kaam nahi karte hain yeh. Subah saath (seven) baje aayenge set pe… turant meter chaalu, (Akshay is the most excited person as soon as we pack up. He doesn’t work for more than 8 hours. He reaches the sets sharp at 7 am…immediately his meter starts.),” Abhishek had said.
Riteish added, “Time starts now.”
Abhishek continued, “Aath ghante maane beech shot main kapde utre, make up nikal ke aajayenge. (As soon as 8 hours are over, he changes mid shoot, and removes his makeup).”

This old video resurfaced after Deepika recently called out the industry for its double standards.
Without naming anyone, she pointed out that when male superstars demand fixed working hours, there is no controversy, yet when it comes to female actors there is a lot of talk.
