Mumbai: Only parents know and feel the kind of turmoil and sorrow in their lives when their kids are accused of some wrongdoing and sent to jail.
Shah Rukh and Gauri Khan have been going through such anguish since son Aryan Khan was arrested by Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on October 3 in the rave party cruise drugs case. The Bollywood superstar has tried everything he can in the legal battle, but bail has remained elusive for Aryan, who is currently lodged in Arthur Road prison.
Several Bollywood actors have voiced their surprise at Aryan being kept in custody for 19 days, with many saying that he’s having to pay for being the son of Shah Rukh.

Shah Rukh himself had expressed such a fear some years ago.
“The decision to have a child is the decision to let a piece of your heart walk outside your body. I compare my relationships with people this way — if a very close friend of mine was standing and there was a speeding car coming towards them I’d jump, try and push them out of the way. If my wife or my sister was standing in front of that speeding car I would 100 per cent pull them out and not mind getting hurt in the process. If a car was speeding towards my children I would stand in front of the car and I’m sure I’ll stop it,” Shah Rukh said some years ago.
“My biggest fear is my fame onto them. I hope they can live out of my shadow. Least I want them is to get completely engulfed by it. My name could spoil their lives, and I don’t want that to happen,” he went on to say.
The video has been doing the rounds on social media where Shah Rukh is seen sitting on the Koffee With Karan couch with Baazigar and Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge co-star Kajol.
