Expect Changes In Morning School Timings In Odisha!
Bhubaneswar: Taking note of the demands of the opposition Congress and the Odisha Secondary School Teachers Association (OSSTA), the state government is considering a change in the morning school timings.
Talking to the media on Monday, School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash said the state government had fixed the morning school hours from 7 am to 1 pm in view of the alarming rise in the day temperature.
As per the government orders, classes for IX and XI students will be held from 7 am to 9 am instead of 8.30 am to 10 am. Similarly, classes for X and XII have been rescheduled and will be conducted from 9 am to 1 pm instead of 11 am to 4 pm.
“The government is reviewing the school timings following a demand from teachers and politicians,” he added.
