In August, the government, however, had to partially modify its July 31 order pertaining to the operation of restaurants in the state following heavy rush at the eating joints, compromising the protocol of physical distancing and increasing potential for spread of COVID-19.
Restaurants and hotels were then permitted to operate for home delivery takeaways of food. and so also, dhabas along national and state highways/major roads.
Amid the surge in COVID-19 cases with Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation expecting the caseload to cross 5000 by mid-September, will it be safe to open these places in the larger public interest?
