In a potentially significant breakthrough in negotiations, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky shared details of a fresh US-led proposal aimed at stopping the fighting which has claimed thousands of lives on both sides.
Zelensky said the plan was agreed upon by negotiators from Kyiv and Washington, and has been forwarded to Moscow, reported Associated Press.
Consensus has been reached on most issues during peace talks with the US, but the delicate matter of territory has not been resolved yet, Zelensky said.
The President did not release a draft of the document, but outlined the content of the plan point by point in a briefing with journalists at the Ukrainian capital.
