Puri: A woman police officer of Brahmagiri police station in Puri district has tested positive for COVID-19.
Informing this to the media on Thursday, Puri SP Umashankar Dash said the woman Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) had come in contact with a criminal who was recently arrested. The contact tracing of the ASI is underway, he added.
The SP also informed that the woman ASI, who has been sent on home quarantine, will undergo the COVID test during the quarantine period.
Earlier, some policemen of Brahamigiri police station were put under quarantine in a similar case.
