Berhampur: A woman assistant sub-inspector (ASI) was suspended for allegedly attacking the inspector in-charge (IIC) of Pattapur police station in Ganjam district.
Sources said ASI Pritimanjari Gadnayak and her husband had attacked IIC Ajay Barik on Tuesday night following a dispute regarding allotment of duties.

The IIC alleged that the husband-wife duo tried to kill him by strangling his neck. A case was registered in the matter and Additional SP Thakur Prasad Patra suspended the ASI.
