Phulbani: In nothing sort of a miracle, a woman gave birth to a baby in a SUV, which met with an accident killing three persons and injuring 10 others near K Nuagaon in Phulbani of Kandhamal district on Tuesday.
According to a police officer, the accident took place when the driver of the ill-fated SUV lost control over the vehicle while negotiating a turn. As a result, the vehicle fell off a ghat. However, the pregnant woman delivered a baby inside the SUV after the accident. Both the newborn and the woman are reportedly safe.
Police have seized the vehicle and investigation is on to determine the exact cause of the accident.
