Balugan: A chain snatching incident in the town has claimed the life of a woman. The incident happened on Saturday afternoon when the woman fell off the bike after two miscreants pulled her necklace.
According to reports, the woman was on the way to her house with her kin on a bike when two bike-borne miscreants pulled a gold chain from her neck near the Naval Outpost Square. As a result, the woman fell off the bike and lost her conscious. The two miscreants later fled the area.

The woman was later rushed to a government hospital at Banapur where the doctors declared her as brought dead.
